Riverbend – Take II (6)

By the end of today, I’ve painted the colors that go into the water and the rocks on either side of the river bank.

Now, that I’ve finalized the colors of the trees and foliage, I put their reflections into the water. If you remember, I used a dull dark green as a placeholder and help for keying values. I kept the reflected colors vague. They were blocked in, no detail, then I brushed vertically and horizontally with a wet brush.

Thoughts Right Now

With this, the painting looks more whole, but I’m not saying it’s complete. I need to put in a few more details before I can call this one.
